Pa. County Approves Fracking Lease With Range At Airport

Law360, Philadelphia (January 10, 2014, 3:54 PM EST) -- The leadership of a Western Pennsylvania county on Thursday voted to unanimously approve a lease with Range Resources Corp. to allow natural gas drilling on more than 136 acres at the county airport.

The three commissioners of Washington County signed off on a plan that will pay Range $6,400 per acre, or a little less than $870,400, for the grounds of the Washington County Airport.
