By Juan Carlos Rodriguez (January 10, 2014, 4:04 PM EST) -- A Nevada federal judge on Tuesday rejected payday lender Cash 1 LLC's bid to shut down a proposed class action accusing it of illegally calling consumers' cellphones, finding there was still a question about whether it could have made the calls.
The plaintiffs in the suit sued a group of payday lenders including Cash 1, Check City Partnership LLC and Dollar Loan Center LLC for allegedly violating the Telephone Consumer Protection Act and the Deceptive Trade Practices Act.
