Texas Oil Surveyor Fined For Illegal Immigrant Conspiracy

Law360, Los Angeles (January 10, 2014, 7:34 PM EST) -- A Texas-based oil surveyor was sentenced Thursday in Pennsylvania federal court to three years of probation and ordered to pay $279,000 in fines for conspiracy to transport and harbor illegal immigrants.

U.S. District Judge Yvette Kane handed down sentences to both GPX USA and employee Douglas C. Wiggill for the charges, to which each pled guilty in March, according to court records. Wiggill was assessed a $5,000 fine.
