Lafarge Nets $320M Unloading 5 Md. Quarries To Bluegrass

Law360, New York (January 10, 2014, 6:17 PM EST) -- Cement manufacturer Lafarge said Friday that it has unloaded five Maryland-based aggregates quarries and related assets to Bluegrass Materials Co. for $320 million, a move the French company says nearly completes its months-long mission to consolidate its business.

The businesses Bluegrass Materials is acquiring include operations located in the greater Baltimore area and western Maryland. The deal is subject to regulatory approval.
