Bankrupt Loehmann's Executive Bonuses Get Shut Down

Law360, New York (January 10, 2014, 5:15 PM EST) -- A New York bankruptcy judge on Friday denied Loehmann’s Holdings Inc.’s request to pay bonuses to two top executives, but left the door open for the company to ask again.

U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Martin Glenn issued a two-page order denying Loehmann’s motion without prejudice. The company’s lawyers had initially asked for up to $650,000 in bonuses for the two executives but on Thursday reduced that number to a little more than $500,000.

The request drew an objection from the U.S. trustee, who argued in court papers...
