Wal-Mart Hit With Another FLSA Overtime Suit

Law360, New York (March 13, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- In the latest blow to Wal-Mart Stores Inc., a former inventory specialist has filed a proposed class action accusing the retail giant of refusing to pay overtime compensation to its employees.

Plaintiff Rita Hinesman said in the proposed class action, filed March 6 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, that Wal-Mart failed to comply with federal employment laws by not paying employees at the requisite rate of one-and-a-half times their normal wages for all hours worked in excess of 40 hours...
