FDA Gives Drugmakers Taste Of Social Media Rules

Law360, New York (January 13, 2014, 5:28 PM EST) -- The U.S. Food and Drug Administration on Monday delivered a small portion of long-awaited guidance on how drugmakers can properly promote their products via social media like Twitter, although key questions remain unanswered for now.

In a 10-page document, the FDA focused primarily on when manufacturers are responsible for the content of promotional material and how such communications should be provided to regulators for review.
