High Court Denies Cert. In Bic Lighter Defect Suit

Law360, Chicago (January 13, 2014, 6:32 PM EST) -- The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday declined to hear an appeal of a Sixth Circuit decision that upheld a jury verdict clearing Bic USA Inc. of liability for a cigarette-lighter accident that severely burned a young boy after the lighter’s child safety lock was disabled.
