Texas Court Lifts Injunction In Sun Energy Investor Suit

Law360, Dallas (January 14, 2014, 6:39 PM EST) -- A Texas appeals court on Monday threw out an injunction that prevented officers and directors of Sun River Energy Inc. from foreclosing a New Mexico oil and gas property they were awarded after the company's financial struggles left them unpaid.

The Dallas Court of Appeals said there was no threat of imminent harm to Sun River shareholders, who claim the company improperly sold its coal, gold, silver, iron ore and copper interests on 260,000 acres in Colfax County, N.M.
