FTC Nominee OK'd By Senate Panel For 2nd Time

Law360, New York (January 14, 2014, 2:24 PM EST) -- The Senate Commerce Committee on Monday reportedly gave its second approval of President Barack Obama’s nominee to fill out the Federal Trade Commission, after the nominee failed to get a full vote before the Senate session ended last year.

Terrell McSweeny, a former adviser to Vice President Joe Biden and currently chief counsel for Competition Policy and Intergovernmental Relations for the Department of Justice’s Antitrust Division, was confirmed by the committee in November.
