Chicago Bans Indoor E-Cigarette Smoking, Sale To Minors

Law360, Los Angeles (January 15, 2014, 9:37 PM EST) -- E-cigarettes in Chicago will be treated the same way as other tobacco products, according to an ordinance passed by the city’s legislature on Wednesday, part of Chicago's attempt to cut down on smoking among minors.

The ordinance bans the use of e-cigarettes in restaurants and other indoor places where smoking is already banned, requires e-cigarette vendors to be licensed, and prevents minors from buying the cigarette substitutes.
