DOL Squeezed Wage Settlements From Berry Farms: Judge

Law360, New York (January 16, 2014, 7:50 PM EST) -- A federal magistrate judge said Wednesday that consent judgments in which a pair of Oregon berry farms admitted to wage law violations should be vacated since the farms agreed to sign them only because the U.S. Department of Labor was holding up shipments of perishable blueberries.
