Franken Calls On FCC To Revive Net Neutrality

Law360, Chicago (January 17, 2014, 4:26 PM EST) -- In the wake of the D.C. Circuit’s recent decision upending the Federal Communications Commission’s net neutrality regime, Sen. Al Franken, D-Minn., on Thursday urged the agency to craft new rules to safeguard equal access to the Internet.

In a letter to FCC Chairman Tom Wheeler, Franken described the appellate ruling as a “major setback” for his constituents, particularly small businesses, but stressed that the decision left intact the regulator’s authority to police how broadband providers control Web traffic.
