Home Caregivers Say Forced Union Fees Buck Precedent

Law360, New York (January 17, 2014, 5:16 PM EST) -- Workers have told the high court ahead of Tuesday's oral arguments that SEIU Healthcare Illinois & Indiana's defense of mandatory union fees for Illinois home-care providers conflicts with a 2012 U.S. Supreme Court ruling that said compelling state interests are necessary to justify "compulsory unionism."
