Pneumo Abex Must Pay $3.3M More To Asbestos Victim Family

Law360, New York (January 21, 2014, 7:03 PM EST) -- A California jury determined last week that Pneumo Abex LLC must pay $3.3 million to the family of a now-deceased man who allegedly contracted mesothelioma after being exposed to asbestos in brake linings, in addition to the $9.75 million that was paid to the man and his wife while he was still alive.

Gordon Bankhead was allegedly exposed to asbestos in brake linings, including those made by Pneumo Abex's predecessor company, during 30 years of employment at car repair facilities.
