Proskauer Blasts Bankrupt OSG's Malpractice Claims

Law360, New York (January 21, 2014, 6:27 PM EST) -- Proskauer Rose LLP urged a Delaware bankruptcy court on Friday to throw out Overseas Shipholding Group Inc.’s malpractice suit, slamming allegations that the firm’s advice cost the company millions of dollars in “avoidable” tax liabilities and contending that OSG provided Proskauer false information.

The New York-based law firm took the oil tanker company to task for failing to turn over key financial documents to its attorneys prior to OSG's 2012 bankruptcy filing, which contradicted assurances the company had made on certain transactions, Friday's motion says....
