Solar Group Says US-China Trade Spat Hurts Industry Overall

Law360, New York (January 22, 2014, 3:34 PM EST) -- A solar industry association on Tuesday criticized an American unit of SolarWorld AG for seeking additional anti-dumping and countervailing duties on Chinese solar products, saying the move expands an ongoing trade dispute that harms the entire solar sector.

In a blog post, Solar Industry Energies Association president and CEO Rhone Resch blasted recent petitions lodged by SolarWorld Industries America Inc., which asked the U.S. International Trade Commission and the Department of Commerce to impose import duties on certain Chinese and Taiwanese solar products.
