HTC Can't Duck $1M Damages Penalty In Tech Patent Row

Law360, New York (January 22, 2014, 5:10 PM EST) -- A California federal magistrate judge refused Tuesday to reverse a jury award of nearly $1 million to Technology Properties Ltd. in its microprocessing patent dispute with HTC Corp., ruling there was enough evidence to support the jury's infringement verdict.

Rejecting HTC's renewed motion for judgment as a matter of law, U.S. Magistrate Judge Paul S.
