EEOC Lawsuit Filings Dipped Over Past 2 Years, Report Says

Law360, New York (January 22, 2014, 8:37 PM EST) -- The number of new lawsuits dipped dramatically during the past two years compared to previous years as the agency remains focused on bringing large-scale systemic cases, according to a report released Wednesday by labor and employment law firm Littler Mendelson PC.

According to Littler's report, the agency filed 131 merits lawsuits in its 2013 fiscal year, up slightly from 122 filings in its 2012 fiscal year.
