National Review Can't Escape Climatologist's Defamation Suit

Law360, New York (January 23, 2014, 5:07 PM EST) -- A Washington, D.C., judge refused to dismiss a lawsuit brought by climate scientist Michael E. Mann against the National Review, finding Mann's claims that the publication defamed him by asserting he conducted his research fraudulently are likely to succeed. 

D.C. Superior Court Judge Frederick Weisberg said Wednesday that the Pennsylvania State University professor can pursue his suit against the National Review and libertarian think tank Competitive Enterprise Institute alleging they ran articles in 2012 calling Mann a fraud and comparing his handling of climate change data...
