Tea Party Groups Continue To Push IRS Tax Bias Suit

Law360, New York (January 23, 2014, 3:48 PM EST) -- Tea Party groups fired another legal shot at the Internal Revenue Service Wednesday, adding allegations to a sprawling lawsuit alleging that the IRS gave illegal scrutiny to conservative groups’ applications for tax-exempt status.

The proposed class action filed in Ohio federal court by the NorCal Tea Party Patriots alleged not only IRS culpability for the bias scandal, but it also said IRS employees were liable in their personal capacity for intentionally targeting conservative groups with outlandish document and information requests.
