MichCon Can Pursue Recovery Costs In Superfund Cleanup

Law360, New York (January 24, 2014, 4:02 PM EST) -- A Michigan federal judge Thursday refused to toss Michigan Consolidated Gas Co.'s suit demanding the United States contribute to cleanup costs at the Rouge Manufacturing Complex and Schaefer Road Area Superfund sites, finding that a consent decree between site owners Ford Motor Co. and Severstal North America Inc. and the government does not bar MichCon's claims.
