Teachers Pressure Obama On Corporate Tax Reform

Law360, New York (January 24, 2014, 6:43 PM EST) -- Corporate tax reform is necessary to restore the middle class, the National Education Association — the nation's largest professional employee organization — said Friday in an open letter to President Barack Obama. 

The NEA sent the letter on behalf of its 3 million members, for the president’s consideration as he prepares for his State of the Union address on Tuesday. The move adds public pressure to Obama’s decision on whether he should use the address to make tax reform a priority in 2014.
