Vt. High Court Backs Town's Property Tax System

Law360, New York (January 24, 2014, 7:55 PM EST) -- The Vermont Supreme Court on Friday backed the Town of Monkton's property tax system, ruling that the municipality's method of assigning a higher value to land that has received a permit allowing for further residential development does not treat taxpayers unfairly.
