USPTO Patent Transparency Plan Won't Stop Trolls

Law360, New York (January 27, 2014, 7:57 PM EST) -- A plan unveiled Friday by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office to require greater transparency about patent ownership would help accused infringers fight back against lawsuits by so-called patent trolls, but it doesn't go far enough to discourage such suits from being filed, attorneys say.
