Fraud Claims Over Steve Cohen Divorce Survive

Law360, New York (January 27, 2014, 7:43 PM EST) -- A federal judge said Monday that the ex-wife of SAC Capital Advisors LP founder Steven A. Cohen can proceed with fraud claims stemming from their divorce, finding that she had made a sufficient early case that he hid marital assets.

Patricia Cohen has adequately alleged that Steven lied to her when he told her he had lost a real estate investment, U.S. District Judge William H. Pauley III said in a written decision.

"Patricia has sufficiently pled her fraud claim," the judge said.
