Abbott Faces Battle To Quiz Feds In AWP Suit

Law360 (March 18, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The U.S. government is fighting moves by Abbott Laboratories Inc. to question federal health officials a second time as part of its defense against claims in the massive antitrust litigation alleging an industry conspiracy to artificially inflate wholesale drug prices.

In an objection filed Monday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts, U.S. Attorney Michael Sullivan accused the drugmaker of relitigating issues already settled against it in the case.
