Verizon Wraps Up BusyBox Suit With Settlement

Law360, New York (March 18, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Verizon Communications LLC has reached a settlement with two open-source software developers that claimed the telecommunications giant violated the GNU General Public License by not offering the source code.

The Software Freedom Law Center, which provides legal representation to free and open-source software companies, filed the suit in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York in December on behalf of the developers of BusyBox.
