Law360, Miami (January 30, 2014, 5:06 PM EST) -- A Florida appeals court on Wednesday said a lawsuit could remain in state court accusing two Costa Rican attorneys and their firm of initiating a fraudulent investigation that forced a Florida attorney to shutter his pharmaceutical business in the Central American country.

The panel from the Third District Court of Appeal rejected the arguments from attorneys Federico Torrealba Navas, Gianna Cersosimo and the firm Facio & Canas that Florida's courts lack jurisdiction and are not a convenient forum for the case brought by businessman and lawyer...
