DM Petrol. Fights For $1.5B Strategic Reserve Contract

Law360, New York (January 29, 2014, 4:43 PM EST) -- DM Petroleum Operations Co. asked the Court of Federal Claims on Tuesday to block a $1.5 billion contract awarded in September to a subsidiary of Fluor Federal Services Inc. to take over management and operation of the government's Strategic Petroleum Reserve.

The company filed for a temporary restraining order and preliminary injunction preventing the government from beginning a new contract with Fluor Federal Petroleum Operations LLC, which DM Petroleum claims was improperly awarded “in violation of applicable law and regulation.”
