Bruno Mars, Travie McCoy Hit With IP Suit Over 'Billionaire'

Law360, Los Angeles (January 29, 2014, 6:15 PM EST) -- A man claiming to hold the copyright to a popular song by Grammy award winner Bruno Mars and rapper Travie McCoy filed suit on Tuesday, saying the duo and their producers knowingly infringed on a copyright he has held since 2011.

Demetrius Proctor says the pair is making money off digital distribution for the song "Billionaire," a radio hit in 2010, according to the suit filed in Maryland federal court on Tuesday.
