Prosecutors Say Pa. 'Kids For Cash' Builder Broke Plea Deal

Law360, Philadelphia (January 30, 2014, 2:37 PM EST) -- Federal prosecutors on Thursday accused Pennsylvania real estate developer Robert Mericle of violating a 2009 plea deal accepting responsibility for his role in the so-called ‘kids for cash’ scandal in which judges accepted payments in exchange for supporting a series of for-profit youth detention facilities.
