Calif. Assembly Passes Tax Break To Space Exploration Firms

Law360, New York (January 30, 2014, 5:03 PM EST) -- California Gov. Edmund Brown will not say whether he would support a tax break for private space exploration companies that passed Wednesday in the California State Assembly.

AB 777, which would exempt equipment intended for space flight from property taxes, passed 64-5 in the state’s lower chamber and now heads to the California Senate, where it again needs a two-thirds majority vote to reach Brown’s desk.
