Former ICAP-Unit Broker Gets 18 Months For Client Swindle

Law360, New York (January 30, 2014, 7:05 PM EST) -- A former broker at a subsidiary of London-based ICAP PLC was sentenced Thursday to 18 months in prison for ripping off clients by lying about the execution price of stock trades.

Marek Leszczynski, who worked at ICAP's Linkbrokers Derivatives Corp., was also ordered to serve two years' probation and pay $1.5 million in restitution. Judge John F. Keenan imposed the sentence at a hearing in Manhattan federal court.
