Scrushy Takes On Allegations In Court Of Public Opinion

Law360 (January 20, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- Richard Scrushy, known for his unorthodox approach to defending himself against accounting fraud charges, may have gone even further to wage a defense in the court of public opinion. A Birmingham reporter has alleged that the HeathSouth founder paid her thousands of dollars to write favorable stories about him for an Alabama newspaper during his criminal fraud trial.
