ITC Finds China Is Dumping Bleaching Agent

Law360, San Francisco (January 31, 2014, 8:04 PM EST) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission said Friday that Chinese imports of a chemical compound sometimes used as a bleaching and sanitizing agent are being sold in the U.S. at unfairly low prices, violating anti-dumping regulations and harming domestic competitors.

The unanimous vote followed an ITC investigation into Chinese shipments of calcium hypochlorite, prompted by an anti-dumping and countervailing duty petition filed by Arch Chemicals Inc., which alleged that its business is being damaged by imports of the chemical.
