ETP Exec Tells Jurors Pipeline Partner Betrayed Co.

Law360, Dallas (February 3, 2014, 8:42 PM EST) -- Energy Transfer Partners LP's president on Monday told a Texas jury that the company had been unjustly forced out of an ongoing partnership to build a crude oil pipeline when partner Enterprise Products Partners LP saw greener pastures with Enbridge USA Inc.

Mackie McCrea, also the company's chief operating officer, said ETP had treated its sometime competitor Enterprise with “absolute trust” as the two worked together to build a 500-mile crude oil pipeline from Cushing, Okla., to Gulf Coast refineries.
