Victim Of Steroid-Tainted Supplement Wins $4M In Settlements

Law360, New York (February 3, 2014, 6:32 PM EST) -- A Virginia man has netted $4.2 million in settlements from the manufacturer and supply chain distributors of a dietary supplement product made with outlawed anabolic steroid compounds from China that allegedly destroyed his kidneys and liver, his attorneys said Monday.

Daniel Lineberger sued in California state court in 2010 claiming that a supplement branded as “Epio-Flex” that he bought at a Max Muscle USA-franchised store in Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., caused him to develop fulminant renal and hepatic failure.
