US Says Caribbean Co. Planned To Ship Engines To Iran

Law360, New York (February 3, 2014, 5:05 PM EST) -- The U.S. Commerce Department on Thursday revoked a British Virgin Islands-based company's export privileges after finding it was involved in a plan to ship two commercial General Electric Co. aircraft engines to Iran without permission.

Commerce's Bureau of Industry and Security added Evans Meridians Ltd. to a group of targeted companies under an order temporarily denying export privileges, the agency said in a notice dated Thursday.
