Calif. City Sues CPUC To Publicize Pipeline Explosion Docs

Law360, Los Angeles (February 4, 2014, 4:14 PM EST) -- San Bruno, Calif., on Monday sued the state Public Utilities Commission in San Francisco Superior Court, seeking to make public documents the city says will reveal a too-close relationship between the commissioners and the executives of PG&E Corp. following a 2010 fatal pipeline explosion.

The city wanted the commission to disclose documents that, it says, may reveal a “continued cozy relationship” with PG&E executives, but those requests have either gone unanswered or been improperly denied per the Public Records Act, the city said in its complaint....
