Interwoven Can't Escape Vertical Patent Infringement Claims

Law360, Los Angeles (February 4, 2014, 4:10 PM EST) -- Interwoven Inc. on Tuesday failed to dodge allegations that it infringed two Vertical Computer Systems Inc. patents covering systems and processes for generating websites, after a California federal judge said Interwoven may have practiced all the steps of their method claims.

Mostly denying Interwoven's motion for summary judgment over Vertical's infringement counterclaim, U.S. District Judge Richard Seeborg determined that Vertical's evidence and expert opinion testimony regarding the method claims was enough for the defendant to survive summary judgment.
