National Grid Wins Stay Of Order On Gas Meters

Law360, New York (March 20, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- In a small victory for National Grid Plc, a United Kingdom appellate panel has agreed to stay an energy regulator's order that the power company bring its gas meters into compliance with U.K. competition law pending the outcome of National Grid's appeal of the decision.

The U.K. Competition Appeal Tribunal granted National Grid's request for the interim relief on March 14, after it received the consent of the Gas and Electricity Markets Authority (Ofgem) for the stay.
