Sierra Club Says Gov't Withholding Keystone Pipeline Docs

Law360, New York (February 5, 2014, 6:09 PM EST) -- An opponent of TransCanada Corp.'s controversial Keystone XL pipeline, the Sierra Club lodged a suit in California federal court Wednesday accusing the government of illegally withholding critical information about the pipeline's potential impacts.

The Sierra Club is claiming that the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers illegally denied a Freedom of Information Act request for preconstruction notifications, or PCNs, which include maps and tables describing the path of the pipeline near residential areas and water resources.
