Chinese Toilet-Part Maker Escapes Insurers' Defect Suit

Law360, New York (February 6, 2014, 2:17 PM EST) -- A Texas federal judge on Wednesday set a Chinese manufacturer free from a suit brought by two homeowners insurance carriers blaming its DuraPro brand toilet water supply lines for property damage, saying the court lacked jurisdiction since middlemen alone were responsible for U.S. export and distribution.
