Schlumberger Customer Info Off Limits In Permian Basin Flap

Law360, Houston (February 7, 2014, 5:24 PM EST) -- The Texas Supreme Court said Friday that Schlumberger Technology Corp. need not hand over financial records relating to its Permian Basin operations in a $30 million suit it filed against a competing oilfield services company for allegedly poaching employees.

Without comment, the high court denied Crescent Directional Drilling LP’s mandamus petition, in which it argued that it needed the financial data to test Schlumberger’s calculation of its lost profits.
