Federal Gov't Struggling With Cloud Computing Transition

Law360, New York (February 7, 2014, 7:13 PM EST) -- Three years into a “Cloud First” acquisition strategy, the federal government is still grappling with staffing shortfalls and lengthy contracting procedures that have kept it from fully taking advantage of advances in commercial cloud technology, according to a Thursday report by Accenture.

Accenture, which was recently tapped to take over fixes to the troubled HealthCare.gov website for online insurance exchanges, surveyed 286 federal executives on their use of cloud services.
