Va. House Backs Increase In Motion Picture Tax Credit

Law360, New York (February 10, 2014, 2:23 PM EST) -- The lower house of Virginia’s state Legislature on Friday voted to raise the state's motion picture tax credit from 15 percent to 20 percent, continuing a trend occurring in other parts of the nation.

The Virginia House of Delegates voted 75-21 to support H.B. 460, which now goes to the state Senate for consideration. The House made no significant amendments to the bill, which was introduced last month, before supporting it.
