Raytheon Lands $31M S. Korean Missile Production Contract

Law360, Los Angeles (February 11, 2014, 3:44 PM EST) -- Defense giant Raytheon Co. has been awarded a $31 million contract to procure AGM-65G-2 Maverick missiles by the Korean Defense Acquisition Program Administration, the company announced Monday.

The precision-guided missiles will be deployed on land and sea, and are designed to destroy fixed high-value targets; stationary targets; high-speed moving targets; and maneuvering armored vehicles, ships, fast boats and other targets; Raytheon said.

More than 7,800 Maverick missiles have been launched in combat, and they are used on more than 25 types of aircraft by the U.S....
