Icahn Takes Motorola To Court, Seeking Documents

Law360, New York (March 24, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Billionaire investor Carl C. Icahn filed a lawsuit Monday against Motorola Inc., accusing the company of mismanagement and seeking a court order to gain access to documents relating to Motorola's senior officers and their management of the struggling cell phone division.

The Icahn Group owns approximately 145 million Motorola shares, or 6% of the company's outstanding shares, and the investor seeks the documents as part of his attempt to persuade stockholders to appoint new leadership to the board, which has reportedly seen company stock plunge $17...
