DC Circ. Rejects IRS' Bid To Regulate Tax Preparers

Law360, New York (February 11, 2014, 2:20 PM EST) -- The D.C. Circuit ruled Tuesday that the Internal Revenue Service lacks the authority to regulate independent tax return preparers, a decision that further dims the agency's attempts to implement a nationwide licensing system on the industry.
